Louisiana GIS Day
Every November, students across Louisiana celebrate GIS Day with Global Geospatial Institute by exploring how maps and geospatial technology shape the world around them. GGI has proudly hosted GIS Day for nine consecutive years, creating engaging opportunities for students to experience GIS in action.
This hands-on evening gives students the opportunity to rotate through a variety of activities, including building their own StoryMap, exploring the Louisiana Giant Map, and learning directly from GIS professionals.
In 2026, GGI is hosting several GIS Day events in partnership with organizations across the state. For more information and future opportunities, feel free to reach out to us at support@ggi.education.
