Turning Questions into Journeys
Teachers don’t just want their students to memorize facts. They want them to walk out with confidence, curiosity and a sense of where they’re headed. That’s what GIS can do. At GGI, we make it easy for Louisiana schools to bring this tool into the classroom. We back teachers with training, year-round support, and a ready library of lessons. The payoff is simple: classrooms that feel alive, and students who leave with credentials and skills that carry them into college or directly into the workforce.
Why GGI?
GGI is the state’s sole provider of an Industry-Based Certificate in GIS. That means your students can choose to work right out of high school, or go to college with a running start, as GIS is used in many fields. Our courses are built into Jump Start 2.0 Pathways, fitting seven to nine approved career tracks. With most Louisiana students taking non-college paths, GIS offers a way to prepare every learner with practical, in-demand skills.
